Greetings from Smyrna. Just got my 90 TT back on the road again after sitting for 5 years due to financial restraints. Always nice to meet local fellow Z'ers(any model). I've seen a black Z32 in Murfreesboro with an unpainted jspec fascia. Is that anybody on here?

Nice ride, 95 was the best year. My car is currently giving me trouble but I expected that from sitting so long. I have driven it 200 miles since starting it up and it won't boost over 7-8 psi(should be 14) and feels sluggish. I have changed the oil, new fuel filter, drained gas, coolant flush and put seafoam in the tank. No ecu codes and i'm not sure if it's safety boost. Going to get new plugs and look into new injectors, turbos, hoses and EFI harness.

stock boost is 8-9PSI. do you have an upgraded ECU w/ boost jets or a boost controller? (i am assuming you do since you are expecting 14psi)

if so it sounds like safety boost. You sure youre not getting a code 34? could also be a big boost leak somewhere. Pretty common as these cars age.

Yes I have a JWT ecu with boost jets set at 14 psi. Code 55, so all good there. I have a boost leak tester so I'm going to give that a shot tomorrow probably.

also take a close look at your engine temp sensor and the connectors going to it. might be corroded. a bad sensor/connection has been known to cause safety boost without showing a code.

I couldn't pressurize the system over 1 psi so I'm pretty sure I have a big boost leak. Also I noticed some fuel seeping out of the side of my balance tube after I did the leak test. Looks like I'll be changing my fuel dampener and possibly doing a plenum pull to start replacing some hoses.

Yikes - 1 PSI? Yea.. you have a huge leak. You should be able to hear it when the engine is idle.... listen for the "wind tunnel" sucking noise.
